What is a Trade Waste Search?

A Trade Waste Search will inform you of any existing trade waste activity on a property, including:

  • the condition and size of the pre-treatment device prior to purchase, as non-serviced devices can be costly to repair or replace
  • if pre-treatment device servicing is up to date
  • if the site has an existing Trade Waste Permit.

How to request a Trade Waste Search

To request a Trade Waste Search Certificate please complete and submit the online form below:

Trade waste search (property and/or business) 1.5 hours each  $252.00

Payment can be made using a credit card, cheque, or on a 14 day account if you're pre-registered.

Trade Waste Search Certificate

Your Trade Waste Search Certificate will be provided via mail or email within 10 working days of the request.

The Search Certificate will provide details of:

  • the condition and size of the pre-treatment device prior to purchase, as non-serviced devices can be costly to repair or replace
  • if pre-treatment device servicing is up to date
  • if the site has an existing Trade Waste Permit.

If you purchase a business with an existing Trade Waste Permit, you must apply for a new permit issued in the new business owner’s name.
