Unitywater is committed to providing the community with access to information and does so in line with the Queensland Government's approach under the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI).
In keeping with the above commitment, Unitywater records details of all information released under RTI that is considered to be of significant interest to the wider public.
Before release, this information is carefully reviewed and all personal details are deleted in compliance with Unitywater’s obligations under the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IPA).

To access information not available in our Disclosure Log or our Publications and Reports, you will need to submit a formal application under either the Right to Information Act 2009 (RTI) or the Information Privacy Act 2009 (IPA).
You may apply under the IPA only if all of the documents you are applying for contain your personal information, or you are acting on behalf of another person and all of the documents contain that person’s personal information.
In all other cases, you must apply under the RTI.

Cost
- If the information you request is not related to your personal information, an application fee of $55.75 is payable via cheque, postal note or Credit Card (for credit card payments, please complete our Credit Card Payment Authority form) and return with your application.
- If Unitywater spends more than 5 hours processing any application, an additional charge of $8.65 per 15 minutes or part of 15 minutes applies.
- The fee for providing black and white photocopies of documents is $0.25 cents per page.
