Project Summary

The Pine Valley Water Supply Project will deliver a new 15 megalitre (ML) reservoir and more than eight kilometres of water pipeline to support rapid population growth in the City of Moreton Bay.

The water reservoir will be constructed within Unitywater-owned land off Jacko Place in Morayfield.

Detailed design was completed in late 2024. Construction commenced in early 2025 and is expected to be completed by mid-2027, weather and site conditions permitting.

Throughout construction, Unitywater, with the support of its delivery partner, Downer, will keep the local community up to date with the project’s progress.

The Pine Valley Water Supply Project is now in the construction phase. Construction is expected to be complete by mid-2027.

The new water infrastructure will support population growth around the suburbs of Caboolture West, Morayfield, and Narangba where more than 100,000 new residents are expected to call home over the next 20 years.

Unitywater is committed to minimising environmental impacts and reducing the need to clear vegetation where possible. The chosen pipeline alignment has capitalised on existing easements within private properties and along road verges to minimise impact on the natural and built environment.
