Burpengary East Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade

Unitywater is undertaking essential works to upgrade the Burpengary East Wastewater Treatment Plant to ensure that we continue to deliver safe and reliable wastewater services that meet our community’s needs.

The upgrade to this existing infrastructure will increase the capacity of the plant to meet the demands of the growing population and enable economic growth in the Narangba, Burpengary, Beachmere, Burpengary East, Deception Bay and Morayfield areas.

The upgrade will deliver benefits to the Caboolture River by reducing the nutrient levels whilst enabling growth in the plant to service the growing population. The upgrade will also enhance odour control, improving sustainability of the plant and making Burpengary East a more pleasant place to live.
