Who we are
Unitywater is the business that provides water supply and sewerage services to Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast residential and business customers. It is one of the three distributor-retailer businesses established by the Queensland Government to serve different parts of the South East Queensland (SEQ).
Unitywater is a local business, focused on serving the needs of the communities in the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast council regions. It has combined the existing water supply and sewerage services of these two local councils.
In fact, Unitywater is jointly and wholly owned by Moreton Bay Regional Council and Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
Unitywater is built on a foundation of decades of knowledge and experience from more than 900 staff from the councils’ water and sewerage businesses.
Being a statutory authority, Unitywater is overseen by an experienced and independent board.
