If you wish to extract water from a particular waterway in the Moreton Bay or Sunshine Coast regions (such as a creek or river), you may need a licence.
The State Government is responsible for managing the abstraction of water from State waterways. Information is available from The Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM).
Approximately one pool in every 20 has a leak! Even a minor leak can result in a major water loss. Under pressure a tiny leak can lose more than 3000 litres a day.
